Why you should buy a Raptor

When building an off road racing car, most of us will opt for the typical combination of proven chassis, high powered engine and the best bolt on components we can afford.  For the most part, this is a perfectly reasonable approach.  Unfortunately, most of us will have little appreciation of what Raptor believe to be the most crucial element in off road racing - correct suspension geometry.

Raptor now offers a clear alternative in off road racing cars that actually handle. To state the obvious, faster cornering and later braking translate into better lap times, and Raptor designs achieve this without throwing more horsepower into the equation.

Here are five reasons why you should consider a Raptor:

  1. Raptor chasses are designed around the suspension geometry and not as a secondary design consideration.  All geometry analysis is performed using a kinematic suspension design tool called SusProg3D, the most sophisticated program of its type.

  2. All design work is produced in Pro Engineer, a precise 3D modelling program, which allows an entire vehicle to be designed and analysed before fabrication begins. This approach ensures that customers can visualise and tailor their design before the vehicle itself is manufactured.

  3. Only the best available materials which are strong, durable and light are used in the manufacture of Raptor racing cars. Cromoly and specialist alloys are used extensively.

  4. Raptor prides itself on the quality of its workmanship – we don’t tolerate average workmanship and neither should you.  Most components are either cut or machined using CNC machinery and assembled using specialist jigs.

  5. Raptor is an Australian owned company that designs, manufactures and supports products built for our conditions.  No other manufacturer can give you the same level of analysis and support to help you achieve your racing aims.
